All our candles are produced using natural soy wax and handmade in Holmfirth, Yorkshire.
Soy wax is produced using soy bean oil. Soy wax is non-toxic, biodegradable, renewable, clean burning and completely free of animal derived substances. Traditional paraffin based waxes are derived from petroleum oil which produces harmful toxins and soot.
Our soy wax is eco- and vegan- friendly.
Here are a few of the benefits of soy wax:
Non-toxic - soy wax is made from vegetable oil and is therefore clean burning and releases no known carcinogens
Clean burning - because soy wax burns clean minimal soot is released.
Renewable and eco-friendly resource - soybeans are an environmentally friendly, sustainable and a renewable resource.
Longer burning - soy wax has a lower melting temperature than paraffin wax, meaning it burns slowly and evenly.
Better fragrance - due to the lower melting temperature of the wax, a healthier melt around the wick is created. This melt pool allows the fragrance/essential oils to release more fragrance.
Soy wax is better for the environment, better for your family, better for your home and provides a better product.
Because we value the use of natural and eco-friendly wax, this means that sometimes the surface of our candles have tiny cracks, lumps or swirling. This is totally natural and doesn't effect the performance of the candle.
Candle Care & Safety
On first burn please take care to burn for 2-3 hours to allow a full wax melt pool to form and prevent tunneling on future burns.
After each burn trim the wick to approx 5 mm to ensure best performance and ensure a safe flame size.
Never burn a candle for longer than 4 hours.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
Burn candles out of reach of children and pets.
Always leave at least 10 cm between burning candles.
Do not burn candles on or near anything that can catch fire.
Do not burn candles all the way down. We recommended leaving 5 mm of wax in the container.
Keep the wax pool clear of debris.
Do not place a burning candle in a draft.
Always snuff out a candle. Do not blow out.
Safety instructions can be found on the base of all our candles.
